i know that no one is perfect, but ti manno had a gift from Jesus. ti manno started out going to little bands in haiti and singing. then he used his brothers name to come to the u.s. to sing. all this as a young haitian male on his own. he was not rich, but found his way to boston and made a huge hit record with a group called volo volo de boston.
he was only a kid, where did he get all this training from? then he went to another band called astros. he new what he was capalble of doing so he didn't stop till he got to the top. we all know when you first get to a band you have to pay your dues and they will not pay you right because your new.
so timanno left astros and went back to haiti and joined a band called D.P. EXPRESS at that time D.P. had recorded there third album groe vann. which was the worst album they ever recorded. timano came in and wrote and sang lead on there fourth album nou retounen. that's when we all noticed his skills and versatility. how many people do you know can go from as many as seven different groups and make hits. he wanted to be paid for what he is worth and to sing about what was important to him.
them he made his second album with D.P. david. that is the single biggest selling alum of all time. ti manno got them to get rid of the other lead singer and did the whole album his self.
that's when he started singing what's in his heart, he wrote of women being used as sex objects at work and not getting paid the same amont as he did. what man is gonna complain about getting paid to much pay her more? he was not a mormal singer.
then he finaly got his own group, gemini all stars de timanno! he was already dieing at this time. still getting weak and didnt know why. he made songs about how money is so evil when he should have been making it and taking it for his self. instead he told men dont do small jobs go to school. told women, dont take a man because of money who is a boso take a good a man, dont worry about money. he could have just used his money to get women but know he told them not too.
this was only on his first solo album.
by his fith album he died. he never stopped talking about how to save people. now lots of people make songs about good things but its easier to write about fun things. ti manno made hits by singing about abuse, not letting your parents force you to get married for money, taking boats to the u.s. is wrong and made it all sound good. this man had everything he touched turned gold. even micheal jackson stopped making hits after a while. not ti manno any song he was on was mostly about good things and was a hit. My Jesus bless ti manno and his family and let me get the money i need to make his movie and tell the mesage he gave.
do you know what he would have done if he lived to be here now? do you know all of the problems we have now would not be as bad. people respected him and looked up to him.
