It Saddens me every time I turn on the news and see what is happening to my belove home. In my opinion the rebels, oppositions, and Aristide are not the only ones to blame, we hatians, either those living in haiti or abroad, are partly to blame. Other than some African nations, I have never seen a group of people unwilling to work together for the good of the country as a whole, everyone seems o be out themselves. This lack of cooperation is what is hurting the country. Our motto is Liberty, equality, and Brotherhood, yet we are far from that. when are we going to realise that when we act like that and the International community steps in we are losing a piece of our home, and killing everything our founding fathers fought for. We Haitians have a voice lets let it be heard, these people are in power because we allow them to be, lets stop being afraid and saying that it does not concern us, because it does concern us. If we let things continue as they are we will not have a home it will belong to the international community.

Regarding the recent crisis in Haiti, I think the Haitian media has been very irresponsible playing partisan politic (mainly blaming one party), but not realizing that the country is on the verge of a civil war. Most of the media, including all Haitian newspaper have not been objectives reporting the news in Haiti. And I think they fail to see the big picture: the future of Haiti. And some of the media instead of trying to mobilize Haitians to organize demonstration in the street of New York, DC, Miami, ands Canada, they are helping to Canada Canavival party and music festival. This shows a lack of patriotism and character? What king of signal are going to send to the international community when they us dancing on the street of Miami and New York?

As Haitians we have lost the little integrity we had in the last few weeks. Haitian thugs and criminals are shown on National TV killing and destroy the little that we have left in Haiti. If the opposition leaders in Haiti really care about the country, then why they rejected every single peace plan put forth by international community? I understand that Aristide policies have been for the country, but does the opposition has better political and social program for Haiti? The leaders of the opposition such as Evans Paul and Guy Deronsrey do not have such clean records themselves.
