These past two years have been harder than I expected. I was strong thoughout my mothers illness and even at the funeral but I guess I broke down after I realized it was all over and she was gone for good. I am still comming to terms with my mothers transition. I have not gotten over or ever will but I am taking life one day at a time. I am blessed to have my children by my side and strong family and friend support team. Maybe one day we can celebrate her life and how she touched each and everyone of us. Yeah as soon as I come to terms with everything and get a few things organized we just might do that. I can see it now an all star galla affair....
Dear Adele Dorisme, I'm a Haitian-American singer who knew your mother from when I was a little girl. My father, Edner Xavier, used to sing and perform music with her in the late 70s in NYC.When I first started recording my own music (in 1992), I sent your mother a demo tape of my music. She responded and said that she was proud of me. I regret I did not stay in contact with her enough to see her perform in recent years, or to even visit with her. I guess I expected her to be around for much, much longer. I was very saddened to hear of her passing. I would very much like to be in touch with you. Please contact me if you are interested. Thank you for your time and consideration. Cassendre Xavier, Recording Artist "a cross between Tracy Chapman, Sade, and Enya" (Steven M. My brothers and I would like to thank you so very much for your condolences, well wishes and generous gifts. We appreciate your time and being there to embrace us at a very painful time of our lives. Your gesture and love for our mother will never be forgotten.
